I’m running because…
The residents in Ward #1 feel like they have no control and no voice regarding what is happening to their neighborhoods and communities.
Our Island has been used as a bargaining chip for far too long, with the residents paying the ultimate price.
The character of our Island is being destroyed at an accelerated pace, and it needs to stop.
A Cycle of Failure
Here’s how I see it: We’re in an endless cycle of government failure and overreach.
An issue arises in our community ↴
Our representatives ask for community input ↴
The input is disregarded ↴
Leading to unintended negative consequences↴
Thus, creating more issues
Preservation
Town Council can and should protect the character and culture of our Island. The residents ARE the character and culture of this Island.
Community involvement is key. I will always advocate for the preservation of historic and Gullah land, and the protection of single family
neighborhoods on Hilton Head Island. The character of our Island is being taken away, piece by piece. Single family neighborhoods are being threatened with overdevelopment.
I ask for your help; I cannot do this alone. Join me. Give us the voice that we need at Town Council. A voice demanding that the future direction of this Island is resident based. As your Ward 1 representative, my voice will be an extension of yours.

Town Government has found a way to insert itself into almost every aspect of our lives, with a huge price tag to match, prioritizing over-development and tourism ahead of its citizens.
Planning
Our Communities and Island Culture can be preserved with proper planning. Island Culture is what makes Hilton Head Island unique.
